DESCRIPTION:PUBLIC NOTICE FOR PEOPLE USING THE NEPISIGUIT RIVER \nThe Atlantic Salmon Federation\, Nepisiguit Salmon Association\, and Pabineau First Nations wish to advise the public to exercise caution when using the Nepisiguit River near the pumphouse for recreational purposes between May 1 and June 30. \nThe Atlantic Salmon Federation\, the Nepisiguit Salmon Association\, and Pabineau First Nations will be installing a Rotary Screw Trap (or smolt wheel) on the Nepisiguit River to catch Atlantic salmon smolts for assessment purposes. The trap will be deployed near the Pumphouse (47°34’40.0″N 65°39’09.8″W).\nThis device and associated cabling are noticeable by warning signs and safety markers.
